POW RELEASED

American prisoner of war in Afghanistan, Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, was brought home in exchange for the release of five Taliban prisoners. The Environmental Protection Agency released a plan to help cut carbon emissions by almost 1/3 by 2030. After Congress voted a major climate bill in 2010, this was Obama's way to do something about global warming. While the left is very happy with this, the right is not pleased.

SLENDER MAN STABBING

Two twelve-year-old girls in Wisconsin are facing homocide charges after stabbing their "friend" 19 times in the woods. The friend survived, and the two girls are being tried as adults. The girls claimed to have committed the crime to prove the Slender Man, a fictional, Internet meme, was real.

Rebels linked to a group called ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) took over Iraq's second largest city, Mosul. The raid surprised the government, and freed hundreds of prisoners and took over important buildings such as the airport and local government headquarters.

The proposal will allow veterans care at private hospitals and provide money for more doctors and nurses.
